CARE + CLEANING

INDOOR WOOD FURNITURE*

  • DUST REGULARLY WITH A SOFT, WHITE, 100% COTTON CLOTH.

  • FURNITURE MAY BE WIPED DOWN WITH A DAMP, 100% WHITE COTTON CLOTH AND DRIED RIGHT AWAY.

  • IF THE FURNITURE GETS EXCESSIVELY WET, WIPE DOWN AND DRY IMMEDIATELY LEAVING NO POOLING WATER AS THIS MAY CAUSE WARPING OR CHANGES OR DISCOLORATION IN THE WOOD FURNITURE FINISH COLOR.

  • DO NOT USE ALCOHOL, LACQUER THINNER, ACETONE, ANY ALCOHOL-BASED PRODUCTS, HARSH CHEMICALS, OR ABRASIVE CLEANERS, AS THEY CAN DAMAGE THE FINISH. USE A NON–SILICONE AND NON–WAX POLISH.

  • DO NOT EXPOSE IT TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT OR EXCESSIVE TEMPERATURES; EXTREME CHANGES IN HUMIDITY CAN CAUSE WARPING. DON’T PLACE NEAR SOURCES OF MOISTURE. HUMIDIFIERS AND EXPOSURE TO OTHER TYPES OF MOISTURE CAN DAMAGE WOOD’S FINISH.

  • NEVER PLACE ANYTHING THAT HAS AN EXTREME TEMPERATURE, HOT OR COLD, ON ANY WOOD FURNITURE WITHOUT FIRST PLACING PROTECTIVE MATERIALS UNDERNEATH. ALWAYS USE COASTERS, PADS, CLOTHS OR FELT TO PROTECT THE FURNITURE SURFACE. DO NOT PLACE PLACE ITEMS THAT ARE TOO HEAVY ON ANY WOOD FURNITURE AS IT MAY CAUSE WARPING.

  • ALWAYS LIFT WOOD FURNITURE WITH RUBBER OR PLASTIC FEET, LEVELERS, OR STOPS. DO NOT DRAG FURNITURE AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE PLASTIC FEET, LEVELERS, OR STOPS

MELAMINE FACED BOARD (MFB)*

  • DUST REGULARLY WITH A SOFT, WHITE, 100% COTTON CLOTH.

  • FURNITURE MAY BE WIPED DOWN WITH A DAMP CLOTH OR SPONGE USING A MILD SOAP, NON-BLEACH DETERGENT, OR A GENERAL-PURPOSE CLEANER. AMMONIATED AND/OR VINEGAR-BASED GLASS CLEANERS ARE BEST FOR CLEANING SURFACES SOILED BY GREASE. ABRASIVE CLEANERS/POWDERS AND METAL OR ABRASIVE-COATED SCOURING PADS SHOULD NOT BE USED ON MOST LAMINATES AS THEY MAY PERMANENTLY DULL AND SCRATCH THE LAMINATE AND MAKE IT MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO STAINING.

  • THOUGH MOST SPILLS ARE EASILY WIPED AWAY, CERTAIN FOOD STAINS SUCH AS TEA, FOOD DYES, FRUIT DRINKS, OR COFFEE MAY BE MORE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE. A THOROUGH CLEANING USING MILD CLEANER, DETERGENT, OR GENERAL-PURPOSE CLEANER AND A SHORT SOFT-BRISTLE NYLON BRUSH IS RECOMMENDED FOR REMOVING STAINS. THIS PROCEDURE WILL ALSO REMOVE WATER MARKS, GLASS RINGS, AND GREASY FINGERPRINTS.

  • VINYL MAY BE WIPED DOWN WITH A DAMP CLOTH AND DRIED IMMEDIATELY WITH A 100% WHITE COTTON CLOTH.

  • TREAT STAINS QUICKLY AND DO NOT LET FLUIDS PENETRATE THE SURFACE. TO CLEAN A SPILL, IMMEDIATELY BLOT (WITHOUT RUBBING) WITH A DRY, ABSORBENT 100% WHITE COTTON CLOTH. USING LIGHT, QUICK STROKES, START FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE STAIN AND WORK TOWARDS THE CENTER. A MIXTURE OF A MILD LIQUID SOAP (IE. DISHSOAP) AND WARM WATER MAY BE USED. DO NOT RUB OR SCRUB AS THIS MAY DAMAGE THE VINYL/FABRIC. ALLOW THE VINYL/FABRIC TO DRY THOROUGHLY.

  • NEVER USE POLISHES, OILS, AMMONIA, CLEANING FLUIDS, ABRASIVES, SOLVENTS OR DETERGENTS TO CLEAN VINYL UPHOLSTERY. THE USE OF THESE CLEANING AGENTS MAY CAUSE DAMAGE.
